Guitar Head Prototype

I wanted to make a prototype guitar head for my classical guitar design so that I could practice, learn from my mistakes, and really see what I could do with inlay.   As you can see, I was not successful with the abalone shell.   It proved to be too hard for me to cut.   So, I went with plane "B" - crushed turquois which I mixed into an expoxy resin and placed into the letters I'd cut out of the top layer of mahogany.   The head is made of three layers - first is mahogany, second is maple, and finally the bottom is Luan.

Guitar Stand
